Pew

About the Pew sound

No onomatopoeia has ever been more efficient. A tiny laser noise that any human can produce with their own mouth, and that everybody, without exception, finds funny. It is the sound of finger guns, imaginary blasters, and violence so obviously fictional that it carries no weight at all. The harmlessness is what lets it work everywhere: there is no context in which a pew lands badly, and it costs the listener nothing emotionally. Deploy it liberally, in edits and in person. Small, silly and undefeated since children first pointed at each other.
