Deep bass hit, perfectly placed, and any pause becomes a punchline. The Vine Boom began life as a stock cinematic impact, the kind trailer editors use for dramatic reveals, before Vine's six-second format turned it into comedy punctuation. When you only have moments to land a joke, one enormous boom does the work a laugh track needs ten seconds for. Vine died; its grammar did not. Today it is the internet's default way to underline a moment: someone says something unhinged, the camera zooms, boom. Probably the most-used editing sound of the decade, and still not tired.
