Piano Fantasia recorded Song for Denise in 1983, an entirely pleasant piece of Italo synth with no reason to expect a second life. Then somebody stretched footage of a world leader walking down a Kremlin corridor to the wrong aspect ratio, married the two, and produced one of the great absurdist memes of the era. A compression accident, promoted to art. The groove is genuinely good, and that is why it outlasted the joke attached to it. Play it for any confident walk, ideally with the walker horizontally expanded. He approaches. He is wide.
