No scream, no music sting, just a quiet statement of fact about a thing you cannot see yet. That unnervingly level register is what made the Verity series work: dread built from information rather than volume, which is rare in Minecraft horror and rarer still on YouTube. It is close to a perfect foreshadowing sound. The audience knows something has changed, and you have not had to show them anything. Use it for ominous build-ups, for cutting to black, or simply to ruin a friend's evening from across a call.
